Yvonne Trainer is a Canadian poet, a lover of books, sometimes a professor, and sometimes an editor.
She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Lethbridge, an M.A. in English / Creative Writing from the University of New Brunswick, and a PhD in Contemporary Literature with a Special Topics Area in Medical Humanities from the University of Manitoba.
Yvonne has published a chapbook and four books of poems, has read poetry and given talks extensively throughout Canada and the United States, once worked as a poetry editor for Canada's oldest literary magazine, The Fiddlehead, and has published in numerous literary journals and anthologies.
She is a full member of the League of Canadian Poets and the Literary Arts Coordinator for Fair's Fair Books "For Book Lovers" Inc., Calgary, Alberta.
