Store hours
All Fair's Fair bookstores are open seven days a week, except on the first Friday of July. This is the Calgary Stampede parade day, when we open at noon.
Our bookstores close only three days each year: Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We close early, at 4:00 pm, on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve so our staff can prepare for these holidays.
We buy books from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm each day. We accept books for trade until a half hour before closing. Please click on a particular store for their regular hours.
Frequent Buyer's Program
Join our Frequent Buyer's Program to receive a 10% credit on all purchases at Fair's Fair stores. Spend the credit on your 6th visit and every 5th visit thereafter.
Sell your books
We evaluate books based upon how quickly they will sell and how many we have in inventory. We only buy books in saleable condition.
If we offer you $50 in cash, you have the option of receiving twice that amount ($100) as credit, which you can use at any Fair's Fair store.
It's your choice whether you want the cash (before 4 p.m.) or store credit (until 30 minutes before the store closes).
Trade policy
A book with a Fair's Fair price sticker is worth 50% of the sticker value in trade for other books, if it is still in saleable condition. If you choose to read in the bathtub, steam damage might render the book unsalable.
